Supporting People in Difficult Circumstances

It has always been important to me not only to think about myself, but also to support people who depend on the help of others. That is why I began making regular donations to Bread for the World in 2023. The organization works around the world to support people affected by poverty, hunger, limited access to education, and difficult living conditions.
For me, charity is not just about making a one-time donation. It means accepting long-term responsibility and making a small contribution towards creating a fairer world.

Shortly afterwards, I also became a sponsor through Plan International. I sponsor a girl living in Benin, West Africa. It was important to me to give one particular child better opportunities for education, healthcare, and a secure future.
What especially impresses me is that the support benefits not only individual children but also their families and entire communities. Access to education and healthcare is something many people still cannot take for granted, even though both are fundamental requirements for living an independent life.

Even though a single donation cannot change the world overnight, many small contributions together can make a significant difference. To me, charity is therefore not only financial support but also an expression of compassion, responsibility, and humanity.

Supporting People with Disabilities

Besides supporting international aid projects, it is equally important to me to support social initiatives here in Germany. For this reason, I participate in the lottery organized by Aktion Mensch. For many years, the organization has been committed to promoting inclusion, accessibility, and equal opportunities for people with disabilities. It supports numerous social projects that help people live independent and equal lives.

In a modern society, no one should be excluded simply because of physical or health-related limitations. Many everyday activities that others take for granted can present major challenges for people with disabilities. That is why I believe projects that remove barriers and promote inclusion are so important—both in public life and in professional and social environments.

What I particularly appreciate about Aktion Mensch is the wide range of projects it supports. These include housing initiatives, educational programs, leisure activities, as well as technical and social assistance for people with disabilities. At the same time, the organization also promotes initiatives that encourage interaction between people and help reduce prejudice.

For me, social responsibility does not end at national borders or focus on only one specific cause. Everyone should have the opportunity to participate in society and be treated with dignity and respect. By supporting organizations like these, I hope to contribute to making inclusion a lived reality rather than just an ideal.

Helping Animals and Supporting Bischdorf Animal Shelter

Since 2025, I have also been supporting the Bischdorf Animal Shelter. My connection with this shelter is a very personal one, as it is where my dog Pola came from. Through her, I have experienced firsthand how much work, time, and dedication are required to run an animal shelter. Many animals are waiting there for a new home and need not only food and veterinary care, but above all attention, patience, and compassion.

Animal shelters play an important role in society. They care for abandoned, neglected, or surrendered animals and give them the chance to find a better life. At the same time, many shelters rely heavily on donations because the ongoing costs of food, accommodation, and veterinary treatment are extremely high. I hope that my support helps make it possible for this important work to continue.

For many people, animals are beloved family members and loyal companions. That is why I believe it is so important to treat them responsibly and to support organizations that work every day to improve their well-being. Thanks to Pola, this cause has become even more meaningful to me.

To me, charity is therefore not only about helping people, but also about taking responsibility for animals and all living beings that depend on our support.
